Templar and Canfield (Norman Eshley) meet in the square and Canfeld calls Harrison, Jackson, Rogers and Dalby (Stanley Lebor). The Ambassador's landau with Di Vallesi (John Bailey) and his wife (Juliette James) aboard turns into the Square. After a warning from Gayle, Canfield is shot and Templar runs across the road into the Palace yard. After a gunfight in the bell tower Gunther is killed by the chimes of Big Ben.

The Saint is in Tambling of St. James looking a 12 bore shotgun for a shooting weekend when Mrs Ellshaw (Ellen McIntosh) rushes out of the shop after seeing Arthur Ellshaw (Philip Latham) in the street. Arthur flags down a taxis, but Ellen is soon after him in another cab.

After Annabelle leaves, Jason tries his own method of obtaining information. Whist Jason is wooing Janet Walsham, Howard Walsham arrives and sees Annabelle watching the flat and drives on. After seeing Annabelle watching his flat, Howard Walsham drives around the block and enters by a back way (No, 34). Later, Annabelle and Jason stake out Sir Charles Hallet’s (Tony Steadman) flat (No, 19). in Jason’s Bentley . They watch as he gets into a taxi and follow in Jason’s Bentley.

Simon takes Nilder in his Volvo.from Tex’s flat just before Tex and the other gang members arrive (Whitehead Grove to Sloane Avenue). The police are soon on the scene in force.

After a struggle Fred falls from the upper level A little girl almost detonates the bomb before her mother takes her to a car.

Alan (Don Borisenko) suggests that Nina Henderson (Lans Traverse) and he visit Chelsea to see what new art is on offer. They find themselves in the ‘Good Art Shop’ in Benson Street. Alan leaves the shop with the Erica Townsend (Georgina Ward), disguised as Nina. Nearby a shoe shop is robbed and Mr. Williams (Harold Goodwin), the owner, finds a police Constable on the street to report the crime. A reporter, Gerry Adams (Brian Weske) is interviewing Mr Williams when Gideon (John Gregson) and Keen (Alexander Davion) turn up to search The Good Art Shop.

As they are investigating the deserted streets in their patrol car, two policeman (Jason White, Tony McHale) see Purdey (Joanna Lumley) waving to them from the end of the street. As they approach they laps into unconsciousness and crash into a wall. Purdy continues her journey out of the affected area and walks through a railway bridge (next to the current Townmead Road bridge) on to some railway sidings (Chelsea Wharf Sidings, redeveloped as Harbour Avenue). Here she is confronted by a sniper.

A dry cleaning van arrives at McGill's apartment, 56 CliveMansions, SW3. After examining his clothes McGill runs out to confront the deliveryman. Later, when McGill is hiding in his apartment, an ice-cream van drives past with a threat painted on the roof. Durning the episode we see a view of rooftops from Jarvis' flat (Ennismore Gardens looking over Ennismore Mews, SW7. The view from McGill's flat is taken from the same point looking towards the Brompton Oratory).

Cowley discusses tactics with an Army Major (Prentis Hancock) and the Professor (Allan Mitchell).

Fred Norton (Edward Evans) chases Mary Rose (Jo Robottom) nearer the railway. Mary tries to get help from the passing motorcycle gang led by Rod Jenkins (Clive Coilin Bowler). Chief Inspector Keen’s (Alexander Davion) squad car is in the area almost immediately and they try to cut the pair off.

Gideon suspects that the girl is being help in a room in London, near trains. This turns out to be workshop in the railway arches at Battersea. They take fake Erica Townsend (Georgina Ward) there and Gideon (John Gregson) and Keen (Alexander Davion) attempt to rescue the girl with her help.

GIDEON’S WAY: The Rhyme and the Reason (John Gilling: August 1964)
Winifred Norton (Carol White) rushes home (No.21) after having a row with Bill Rose. After an argument with her stepfather Winifred dashes out of the house watched by her mother (Clare Kelly). Later Mrs. Norton watches for her daughter as a group of rockers led by Rod Jenkins (Clive Coilin Bowler) walks past after leaving the pub. Once she has spoken to her brother Mary Rose (Jo Robottom) waits for a chance to have a look round Winifred’s room. She watches from across the road and when Mrs. Norton leaves she enters the house. When she is discovered by Fred Norton (Edward Evans), Mary Rose (Jo Robottom) runs from the Norton’s house in to the back alleyway. Fred follows in hot pursuit (passing Peg's Store on the corner of Doddington Road/Longhedge Road). Summoned by Mary, Chief Inspector Keen arrives with three policemen in a squad car.

STRANGE REPORT: Report No.2475 - REVENGE: 'When a man hates' (Charles Crichton: November 1968)
After stealing a gun James Hanson (Julian Glover) returns to the new flat he has rented (Fairfield Street - a new link road between Armoury Way and Wandsworth Bridge has been built, Swandon Way, which has wiped out part of Fairfield Street and all the buildings have been demolished. The remaining stretch of road has been re-named Smugglers Way and all that is left from the 1960s view is the railway bridge).

The truck carrying the car parts is followed to a road junction (Tonsley Hill/Tonsley Place) by an unmarked police car. The police car drives into a side street (Tonsley Place) where another is waiting to continue the chase.
